Greetings once again combative Capsuleers
Before we get to the prizes, a bit of housekeeping. Signups for teams in Alliance Tournament XV are still ongoing and if you haven’t submitted your application yet, make sure you do so before 2017-05-23 23:59UTC. You can find the application form here.
We’ve also had a couple of common questions from teams entering:
- Can I enter both the Secret Auction and the Feeder Rounds? Yes, you may enter both the Feeder Rounds and the Secret Auction. If you have already applied for the tournament without entering the Secret Auction, you can still submit a bid by having your alliance executor send an EVE-mail to CCP Logibro before team signups close.
- When does the Secret Auction Close? The Secret Auction closes at the same time as team signups. This is a change from previous years where the auction was held after the random draw (which is not being used this year).
- When are the rules for AT XV being released? The rules will be released after team signups close, most likely on 2017-05-24.
- When will my PLEX be collected? PLEX for all entry methods will be collected from your PLEX vault once signups have closed.
- Do I lose my bid if I am not successful in the Secret Auction? No, the PLEX you bid in the Secret Auction will not be taken if your bid is not successful. This means you don’t need to wait for a refund as the PLEX never leaves your PLEX Vault.
- When do I get my PLEX refund if I don’t make it through the Feeder Rounds? You will receive your PLEX the week after the Feeder Rounds are concluded.
If you have any other questions or difficulties signing up for the tournament, you can always file a support ticket under CCP Community Team to get in contact with us (just make sure to mention AT XV in the subject).
To the Victor Goes the Spoils
Alliance Tournament XV will be following the same prize structure as we introduced in AT XII and used in all Alliance Tournaments since then. However, with Alliance Tournament we complete the cycle of pirate factions (Angels, Guristas, Sansha, Blood Raiders, Serpentis) and as such may make more radical changes to the prize structure for future tournaments. But I’m pretty sure you’re more interested in the prizes for this year, so with further ado, here’s what you’re fighting for!
The Alliance Tournament Cup
The Alliance Tournament Cup is an in-game inventory item of which only one copy may ever exist. Every year we edit the description of the item to reflect the complete list of former tournament winners and move the item to the possession of the most recent winners.
The Alliance Tournament Cup was given to The Tuskers Co. alliance in Alliance Tournament XIV, and after the conclusion of Alliance Tournament XV it will be taken from wherever it resides at that time and given to the AT XV champions.
Alliance Tournament Medals
In previous tournaments, we have given in-game Alliance Tournament Medal inventory items for the teams that places first, second and third in the tournament. The number of medals granted was the same number as the maximum pilots that could be fielded in that tournament. We will be continuing to do this for Alliance Tournament XV.
We will also be giving out medals to every character that was a member of the participating alliances on the first day of the tournament. These will appear on the character sheet, exactly like a medal awarded by a corporation. There will be medals for Tournament Competitor, Top 32, Top 16, Top 8, 4th, 3rd, 2nd, and 1st. Each character will receive only the highest medal that their alliance earned.
Remember, the medals will only be granted to characters in a participating alliance on the first day of the tournament (July 29th).
PLEX
As with previous Alliance Tournaments, we will be distributing the PLEX collected as entry fees as prizes in the tournament. If a very large number of PLEX are bid during the secret auction, the number of PLEX awarded may potentially increase.
This year, the PLEX will be awarded as follows:
- Teams that place between 17th and 32nd will receive 2500 PLEX
- Teams that place in the top 16 will receive 5000 PLEX
Alliance Tournament Prize Ships
Ever since the 7th Alliance Tournament, the main prizes each year have been a set of special edition frigates and cruisers, with unmatched combat prowess. Only 50 of each type of frigate or cruiser are given each tournament.
As with Alliance Tournament XII, this year we will be distributing the special edition prize ships to the top 4 teams, with each team receiving an equal number of cruisers and frigates.
- 1st place: 25 Cruisers and 25 Frigates
- 2nd place: 15 Cruisers and 15 Frigates
- 3rd place: 7 Cruisers and 7 Frigates
- 4th place: 3 Cruisers and 3 Frigates

SKIN of the Snake – Serpentis Victory SKIN
Once again, we will be offering a ship SKIN that can be applied to any of the Serpentis ships to give them a unique visual style. We will be awarding 10 copies of this SKIN for each series won by a team. This includes the single match series that make up the bulk of the tournament. Multi-match series will only award one SKIN set for winning the series as a whole. This should provide an additional incentive to try and win every match you can.
With prizes like this on the line, we’re looking forward to another exciting year of action and suspense. Join us from July 29th on Twitch.tv to see all the action as it unfolds.
