Once again Fanfest season is upon us!
CCP offices across the globe are bustling with activity, preparing for three days of everything New Eden in the world’s most northern capital city.
With just a week or so to go before Fanfest 2016 kicks off, presentations are being pulled together, videos are being finalized and at last we’re done playing Tetris with presentations to line up the schedule of content for this year’s event.
There’ll be more on that later in the week, but for now we’d like to give you a heads up on the Fanfest 2016 Store, and a little sneak preview of what CCP Spitfire and CCP Droog have cooked up for this year’s lineup of apparel, trinkets, and memorabilia.
Firstly, let’s take a look at a few Fanfest regulars making a re-appearance at the store due to their past popularity:
With only a few units remaining, this may very well be the last time we see the Second Decade Collector’s Edition for sale at a CCP event. Packed out with information on the first decade of EVE Online’s history, as well as a USB Rifter model, a recording of the 10th anniversary Symphony and a copy of “Danger Game” the first board game ever produced by CCP, this is a classic to be enjoyed for years to come.
In addition to this, the hardcovers of EVE: Source, the fiction and backstory bible for EVE Online, and EVE Universe: The Art of New Eden, a glimpse at the art and setting of New Eden, are also on sale this year.
We also have a limited stock of the classic Art of EVE book that will be available in the store, as well as a handful of copies of the limited edition of EVE Universe: The Art of New Eden
Continuing on the theme of reading material, EVE: True stories, which details the fall of the Band of Brothers alliance, as well as the highly anticipated hardcover of the new EVE: Valkyrie comic book, which charts the early years of Rán Kavik, and the journey that she took to end up as leader of the Valkyrie, will both be on sale at Fanfest 2016 as part of the store lineup.
Be sure to grab your copy of the EVE:Valkyrie hardcover in advance of it going on sale everywhere else!
And of course, where would Fanfest be without the most anticipated EVE related book in years?
We’re delighted to announce that we’ll have a limited number of both hard and soft cover copies of Andrew Groen’s “Empires of EVE” on sale at Fanfest. Andrew will also be here with us for the first day of Fanfest to give a presentation on the book and its content, for those who would like to know more.
Moar Stuff!
As well as the reading material on offer this year, we also have a solid line up of hats, mittens, jackets, vests, sweaters and scarfs from our partners at 66 North, as well as a fresh new set of beer glasses to go with the theme of this year’s trio of Fanfest beers, which have been brewed exclusively for us by Bryggjan Brewery. The beers themselves won't be on sale at Fanfest in the store, but you'll be able to get hold of matching glasses that go with the themes of the bottles:
You can read more about the Fanfest Beers in this news article.
Got Apparel?
We’re also well aware that capsuleers love nothing more than a set of the newest threads, and as such we’ve been working on a few new designs after seeing the success of several of the shirts we offered at EVE Vegas 2015.
These include the “Certified for Capsule Operation” shirt that was a massive success at EVE Vegas 2016, as well as two new editions, the “Grid Control Specialist” and “Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly Expert” shirts that will be available for the first time at Fanfest 2016.
For those of you seeking a less formal get-up, there’ll also be a selection of caps and t-shirts on sale at Fanfest celebrating everything from Vertical Supremacy to Thukker Life, along with the classic EVE Starmap and EVE Valkyrie T-shirts.
Last but not least, there’ll once again be a whole host of trinkets and collectibles available, including a new hipflask straight from the equipment issue of new employees stationed on board ORE’s ‘Kubera’ mining platform in celebration of the launch of Gunjack, as well as new pins, luggage tags, decal sets and the classic EVE watch, built by the finest watchmakers in Iceland.
This is just a selection of what’s going to be on offer at the Fanfest 2016 store this year, so be sure to come and check out the full lineup of apparel and items on the second floor of Harpa between panels and presentations to make sure that you don’t miss out on picking up the latest EVE swag.
Oh… there’s also rumors of a ship or two flying in for the occasion too… so be sure to come see what else is available in the store over the course of Fanfest so that you don’t miss out!
Looking forward to seeing you at Fanfest 2016!
